Job Description

The Analytics ADC team is at the forefront of delivering AWS Analytics cloud services to our customers in isolated air-gapped cloud environments. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this rapidly evolving field leveraging the power of cloud computing and the latest advancements in data technologies. With a focus on expanding Analytics services across air-gapped cloud regions driving automation investments and delivering open-source solutions we are at the forefront of innovation and speed. Our teams are creatively finding new ways to building massively scalable distributed systems and delivering the next generation of cloud computing with AWS offerings like Athena LakeFormation Redshift OpenSearch Glue QuickSight and Agentic IA services.

We are seeking an Systems Development Engineer II who can thing big and simplify solutions to complex problems all while ensuring our customers continue to have the best experience possible!

A successful Systems Development Engineer I joining the team will be an innovator building solutions and working closely with Amazons largest and most demanding government customers to address their specific needs across a suite of Analytics services in air-gapped cloud environments. They will drive the resolution of technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer experience.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that after start the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

- Associates degree or above
- 1 years industry experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer; developing with Python Golang Rust Java and/or other modern programming languages.
- Experience developing on Unix/Linux operating system
- Experience building and supporting large-scale software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Current active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

- Experience with PowerShell (preferred) Python Ruby or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Experience in automating deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- 3 years of administrative experience in networking storage systems operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
