Full Developer

As an experienced software engineer you will bring your extensive knowledge of web development -related technologies to our commercial software products engineering and automated testing. We use the latest web and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies and modern development approaches such Core Angular Single-Page Application (SPA) patterns Microservice patterns Continuous Integration Pipelines (DevOps) test-driven/ test automation strategies and move-to-cloud architectures.

The Role

The successful candidate will be able to develop full-stack web components and features as part of one of our Agile software product development teams. You will partner with all software product development disciplines (including engineering architecture product owners quality assurance and analysts) to develop and maintain web software products that meet the needs of our global client base utilizing industry-standard best practices and modern software engineering techniques.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design code test and debug new product enhancements for our commercial software products
• Deliver maintainable and reusable solutions that follow cyber security standards and application performance benchmarks
• Embrace implement and evangelize test automation as part of the fabric of the team
• Conduct code reviews and mentoring for peers and/or junior team members.
• Participle in the evaluation of emerging technology and tools
• Demonstrate agility ability to think outside the box and challenge established development processes and procedures
• Bring your enthusiasm and drive to improve and work smarter to benefit our tools and products through awareness of technology trends and direction outside of the organization.
• Demonstrate understanding of technical architecture to ensure enhancements and solutions are delivered in line with the vision
• Working to define development best practices and principles to enable WTW to deliver industry-leading technology solutions.
• Adhere to promote and improve development practices collaborate on low-level design and perform code reviews
• Provide support and advice to more junior members of the team.
• Participate and recommend prioritization through the project implementation to work on own initiative or as part of a broader project team.
• First-rate communication skills and ability to apply these to rapid and creative problem-solving in an occasionally pressurized environment.

The Requirement

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of related software development experience and applied knowledge using Agile Scrum software development life cycle demonstrated understanding and implementation of software design principles such as SOLID DI/IoC and Continuous Integration.
• Proactive: Willing to seek out information and solutions that are pertinent to their responsibilities and key to their delivery. A team player attitude with a focus on the teams success is a MUST as is a strong work ethic.
• Proactively collaborates with other teams/team members (UX Enterprise Architecture Quality Assurance SRE DevOps Product Owners Business Analysts Information Security regional teams) across global time zones with the utmost professionalism tact and resolve.
• Experience working with the full Microsoft technology stack /C#
  (.NET framework core) SQL Server MVC and Web API JSON/RESTful experience Object Relation Mapping (ORM) such as Entity Framework or NHibernate HTML5 JavaScript CSS3 web Software as a Service (SaaS) multi-tenancy application development SQL Server development experience GIT Confluence and JIRA.
• Experience with front-end technologies and approaches: Single Page Applications (SPA) Angular Bootstrap Typescript.
• Experience developing applications requiring internationalization and localization
  for global markets.
• Experience with JavaScript jQuery and AJAX Equal Employment Opportunity

• Micro-services experience
• Experience with Test Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development
