Job Summary
If you are an Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as a Quality Engineering Intern. Based in our Shakopee or Eden Prairie MN location you will be responsible for researching various Intrinsically Safe Circuit protection concepts. Breakdown test and study different mechanical and electrical concepts of various products comparing the pros and cons of the different designs. Perform circuit and design analysis and present on how it impacts the safety of the device in a hazardous environment.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Conduct Circuit Analysis
- Product Quality and Design Analysis
- Hazardous Location Certification Testing
- Project Findings and Reports
- Various Team Building Exercises

- Pursuing a Bachelors in Engineering or Science from anEngineering School (students of any class status will be considered)
- Zero (0) years ofrelated experience
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location(Shakopee Chanhassen or Eden Prairie MN)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Prior internship experience

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $25.00- 27.00 hourly commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
