Job Summary
Anderson County High School seeking a highly motivated retired Navy enlisted applicant to fill a Naval Science Instructor (NSI) vacancy. The position will be available 1 July 2026 for a twelve-month contract. The student population is approximately 1100.
Anderson County High School is one of most decorated JROTC programs in Area 8 having achieved 17 Distinguished Unit awards and 2 Unit Achievement awards since their beginning in 2001. The unit competes in drill orienteering academic community service and physical fitness events. Additionally Anderson County NJROTC averages approximately 90 color guard presentations a year. The unit has outstanding support from Anderson County Schools principals teachers and staff. Anderson County NJROTC Naval Science Instructor will be required to put in hours beyond the traditional school day and on select weekends to support cadet activities.
The school is 5X5 block schedule with 12-month contract at Navy minimum with stipend. Naval Science experience is desired but not required. Contact Mr. Travis Freeman (Principal) at or emailor Major J. T. Young (SNSI) at x101 or email.
