Your Role
Were looking for a dynamic and experiencedProduction Supervisorto lead a high-performing team at our Christchurch manufacturing plant. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for executing daily production plans driving quality and fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10 in the production area
- Ensure daily production schedules and output targets are met
- Champion quality standards and drive quality improvement
- Promote cross-functional training and team development
- Collaborate with Warehouse Procurement Customer Service and Logistics teams
- Uphold safety standards participate in safety audits and HOP sessions
- Activepeople management: performance leave absenteeism behavioural issues and training
- Overseeday-to-day operations resource planning and scheduling
- Accountability forsite production including non-conformance change management and continuous improvement
- Ensurequality standards and compliance
- Providehands-on operational support(approx. 40% shop floor 60% admin)
- Develop and updateSOPs and documentation

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in production leadership within a complex operational environment
- Strong planning time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge oflean manufacturing continuous improvement and quality standards
- High proficiency inMicrosoft 365 especially Excel (pivot tables filtering formulas) and Word (document formatting) - this is essential and will be tested during the interview process
- Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Tertiary qualification or extensive experience in manufacturing
- Ability totrain othersand develop clear instructions
- Experience working withunionsis beneficial
- Demonstrated success in achievingproductivity and quality goals
- Experience in garage door or construction industries is a plus
