Thomas College is seeking a Bursar to join our Student Financial Services team. This position plays a vital role in supporting student success by ensuring accurate and timely billing providing account counseling to students and families and collaborating with campus partners to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel students and families on payment options balances and financial obligations.
  • Prepare issue and reconcile monthly student billing statements.
  • Coordinate with the Controllers Office to ensure accounts receivable accuracy.
  • Process collections third-party billing and insurance/waiver reconciliations.
  • Provide excellent customer service through direct student interaction (in-person phone email).
  • Support Student Financial Services operations with flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in student accounts bursar operations billing collections or related financial operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with financial systems databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality student-centered service.
