What will you do
The purpose of the Drafter/Modeller role is to support the development of a portfolio of water projects in WA & NT region in Australia. The role will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings for various water projects including pipelines treatment plants pump stations dewatering and general civil works.
Prepare and review detailed design drawings plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects using AutoCAD and other relevant software
Communication of ideas and designs in written reports in clear and simple language
Collaborate with engineers architects and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements
Ensure designs are compliant with relevant Australian standards client standards and regulations
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure design quality and accuracy
Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager
What can you bring to the team
Firstly you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or similar
5 years of experience in water wastewater pipelines pump stations land development and civil drafting
Proficient in AutoCAD and terrain modelling software (12D preferred) and other relevant software (e.g. ArcGIS MicroStation Hydraulic Modelling)
Good communication and English written skills
Strong understanding of Australian standards and regulations is preferred
Knowledge or experience in Design Management Platforms (Aconex Projectwise 12D synergy BIM 360 etc is preferred
