The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Engineering Productivity Team. Sitting at the crossroads of Flywires globally distributed engineering centres this teams mission is to continuously improve processes and tools to create an outstanding developer experience across Flywire.
The Engineering Productivity team owns Victoria Flywires internal PaaS ecosystem which enables 300 developers to design build test deploy and monitor applications. Your work will directly improve developer experience ensure compliance with strict fintech standards (PCI SOC II HIPAA) and accelerate innovation across Flywire.
Key Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain Flywires internal PaaS environment (Victoria).
- Work across frontend backend and infrastructure layers of the stack.
- Shape the strategic direction of our developer ecosystem.
- Partner with Security QA Analytics Support and SRE teams.
- Champion best practices and support 300 developers in using our tools effectively.
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For
- Proficiency in Ruby Python or Go with strong testing techniques (TDD/BDD).
- Experience with containers cloud infrastructure build systems and CI/CD tools.
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with empathy for developer needs .
- Interest in becoming a T-shaped engineer a specialist with broad technical range.

We embrace an evolutionary approach always learning experimenting and adapting. Current tools include:
- Languages: Ruby Go Node Python TypeScript
- AWS: ECS (Fargate) Lambda CloudWatch SQS RDS Kinesis S3 Elasticsearch

- Tools & Monitoring: Docker Sentry Sumo Logic OTEL (Honeycomb)
