We are seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist to join our team in Glen Allen/Richmond this role you will perform environmental and siting studies prepare permitting applications and analyze environmental data to support projects such as high-voltage transmission line routing power generation facilities and water treatment systems. Youll contribute to field surveys environmental reporting and compliance audits while ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
KeyResponsibilities
- Conductfieldsurveysassessmentsandcollectproject-relateddataforenvironmentalimpactstudies.
- Prepareenvironmentalreportsimpactstatementsandtransmissionlineroutingstudies.
- CollectcompileandmanageGISdataforanalysisandmapproduction.
- Supportenvironmentalsiteinvestigationserosioncontroleffortsandsubsurfacesoilsampling.
- Performanddocumentenvironmentalcomplianceaudits.
- Preparepermittingapplicationsacrossairlanduseandculturalresources.
- LeadsiteselectionstudiesanddevelopdocumentationundertheNationalEnvironmentalPolicyAct(NEPA).
- Ensurecompliancewithcompanyandsitesafetypolicies.
- Performotherdutiesasassigned.
Qualifications
- Education&Experience:
- BachelorsdegreeinEnvironmentalScienceorrelatednaturalsciencefieldand4yearsofrelevantexperienceOR
- MastersdegreeinEnvironmentalScienceorrelatednaturalsciencefieldand3yearsofrelevantexperience.
- Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills.
- Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Knowledgeofenvironmentalsiteassessmentmethodscomplianceandpermittingprocesses.
- ExperiencewithGPSandArcGISdesktop.
- ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeSuite(WordExcelPowerPoint).
- Valid drivers license required.
