API management resources along with Kubernetes cluster orchestration deployment to host the microservices.
Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment
Azure Cloud Engineers are responsible for designing implementing and maintaining cloud environments tailored to business needs. This includes:
- Setting up virtual machines databases and storage solutions.
- Designing scalable and resilient architectures.
- Supporting hybrid and multi-cloud environments1.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
They automate resource provisioning using tools like:
- Terraform
- Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates)
- Ansible or scripting tools(e.g. PowerShell Python)
DevOps & Automation
Good to have
Security & Compliance
Engineers implement robust security controls to protect cloud assets:
- Managing identity and access (IAM)
- Implementing firewalls encryption and threat protection
- Ensuring compliance with standards like HIPAAand GDPR3.
Monitoring & Optimization
They use tools like Azure Monitor Log Analytics and Cost Managementto:
- Track system performance
- Optimize resource usage
- Control cloud spending
