Quality material and NDT (NDT L2 Q Performer) WLC A350

Job Description:

A permanent opportunity for a Quality Non Destructive Tester (QNDT) has arisen within Airbus Operations Illescas.

Working on production as a NDT level 2 you will be responsible for examination and testing of the physical properties of materials and components to find possible porosity delaminations and other imperfections which could affect their performance and reliability by using testing processes that do not damage the structure of the object being tested.

Main activities:

The jobholder use a method for which he is certified according EN4179.

- Ultrasonic testing firing high frequency sound pulses into materials

and analyzing the differences in the reflected signals.

*Experience in the techniques:

• Pulse echo

• Transmission through

• Phased array

*Experience in data representation:

• A-scan

• B-scan

• C-scan

- The jobholder knows & ensures strict adherence to safety regulations and is capable to choose the right technique in the method to be applied.

- The jobholder ensures the preparation of part & equipment for inspection and conducts tests for ensuring quality or detecting discontinuities.

- The jobholder evaluates results according to specificationsand standards and is responsible to interpret test results. He/she completes NDT reports and ensures record of inspection results.

- The jobholder is responsible to instruct and supervise NDT trainees.

- The jobholder develops NDT working instructions and supports internal NDT audits.

- The jobholder supports other NDT operational activities.

SKILLS

- Certificate in level 2 ultrasound. Official certificates authorising the candidate to work will be required.

- Previous related experience.

- High capacity for learning and adaptation.

- Proactivity and teamwork.
