Access Controls Service Technician (controls service exp. req.) Description
Our client a well-established building controls and energy management company is looking to expand their Service Team by adding a new Technician in Jacksonville FL. Majority of their clients are within the Greater Jacksonville area allowing for a better work/life balance with limited extended travel. Aside from being home practically every night you will benefit from a more inclusive people-first company environment. This is dual role where you will spend about 70% of your time on troubleshooting and the balance of your time installing new equipment. To be chosen for this position you must have experience with Lenel access control systems. Important Note: Their customers are fairly concentrated in the Jacksonville area. The most extensive travel will be to Savannah and Thomasville GA or to the Orlando and Tallahassee area.
Access Controls Service Technician (controls service exp. req.) Responsibilities
Install and configure access control systems
Diagnose and repair system issues to ensure operational efficiency
Perform routine maintenance and testing to ensure ongoing reliability
Review and interpret electrical schematic wiring diagrams
Ensure equipment safety standards and maintain safe work environments
Interact with clients as needed to understand their security needs
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external clients
Travel to client sites (75%) and provide remote diagnostics when possible
Participate in on-call rotation (typically once every fifth week)
Pursue ongoing education and training to expand BAS skills
Access Controls Service Technician (controls service exp. req.) Qualifications
Troubleshooting experience with physical security systems required
Experienced with Lenel systems required
Field travel (typically local) required
Drivers license required
