JOB SUMMARY:

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Polaris Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) team where youll be at the forefront of NVH screening testing certification and analysis for all Polaris products. Youll lead innovative NVH design and analysis for vehicles subsystems and components tackle complex challenges and create strategies that drive both regulatory certification and top-tier NVH performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct evaluation testing and data analysis of vehicle components and systems to support product development.
  • Support vehicle launches through assessments root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Develop and execute NVH tests; collect analyze and report data independently or in teams.
  • Perform signal processing predictive modeling (e.g. modal analysis statistical energy analysis and boundary element predictions) and statistical analysis.
  • Investigate vibration and noise generation and transfer in vehicles.
  • Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to set and validate NVH targets using benchmarking testing and simulation.
  • Contribute to system design improvements through NVH validation and recommendations.
  • Complete additional tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Acoustics Vibration or Structural Dynamics preferred)
  • 3 years of NVH experience with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Solid understanding of acoustics mechanical vibrations and system dynamics
  • Proficient in NVH testing methods signal processing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with airborne noise and vibration evaluation techniques (e.g. modal analysis transfer path analysis sound transmission loss testing)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in cross-functional environments
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; willing to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate Polaris products

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Engineering (Acoustics Vibration or related field preferred)
  • 5 years of NVH experience including vehicle testing and development
  • Expertise in pass-by noise testing and regulatory compliance (Müller-BBM PAK preferred)
  • Skilled in Transfer Path Analysis (TPA/C-TPA)
  • Experience with cab acoustics intake/exhaust design and sound quality metrics
  • Proficient in NVH tools (LMS preferred) and advanced instrumentation techniques
  • Strong hands-on mechanical knowledge and subjective evaluation skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and end-of-line quality testing
  • Motorcycle license; willingness to travel

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $94000 to $124000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

To qualify for this position former employees must be eligible for rehire and current employees must be in good standing.
