Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite
Stryker Instruments is seeking a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to support New Product Development within our IVS this role youll take the lead in transforming an existing prototype into a production-ready design. Youll refine PCBAs wire harnesses and electrical components with a focus on manufacturability EMC compliance and design verification. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams youll play a hands-on role in lab testing system integration and driving the design through to a high-quality compliant manufacturing release.
This role is hybrid with the expectation to be in the office 3 days a week in Portage MI.

What you will do:
Design and develop electrical components and sub-systems for cutting-edge medical devices.
Create and execute verification protocols PCBA production test specs and EMC/Wireless test plans.
Develop and apply advanced circuit/system test methods prototypes and benchtop evaluations.
Translate user needs into design inputs balancing tradeoffs to deliver robust compliant solutions.
Generate and refine technical documentation including schematics design descriptions and stack-ups.
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineers safety engineers and other design teams for seamless system integration.
Partner with manufacturers to define and implement scalable production test specifications.
Lead advanced problem-solving to identify evaluate and resolve complex design issues.
