DSI Outreach Specialist
The University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks to recruit an Outreach Project Specialist for the Digital Strategies and Innovation Division. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Digital Strategies and Innovation this role performs duties requiring considerable judgment and initiative to achieve specific outreach deliverables for the implementation of the OA policy and other divisional public services including but not limited to the Digital Scholarship and Data Services department. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented and outcomes-driven with marketing and communications experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate guest speakers for outreach activities
and expert consultants for train-the-trainer events.
Assist in developing digital learning objects for outreach activities and workshop on the open access policy and other DSI public services.
Partner with the OU Marketing & Communications department to develop marketing and promotional materials for the OA policy activities and other DSI public services.
Confer with the OU Marketing & Communications department for publicizing and promoting OA and other DSI public service events.
Coordinate OA workshops and work with librarians to participate in workshops.
May participate in presentations to librarians and faculty on the OA policy.
Participate in team meetings and team efforts to implement the OA policy on schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Required: Bachelors degree;AND:
12 months of academic library experience
