Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway New Orleans LA 70126

1^st Shift Hours: Tuesday-Friday 4:30am-3:00pm
2^nd Shift Hours:Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am

Job Summary:OurProduction Line Operatorsare responsible for safely operating production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.

• Operates production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management
• Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
• Completes change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line
• Learns and maintains customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
• Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations requirements or specifications
• Accurately completes all quality traceability and production paperwork
• Reports any product deficiencies food or safety concerns to supervisor
• Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstationassists with product change overs and ensures all tools are accounted for
• Ensures the operation is providing food-safe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of machine operating/production experience preferred
• Technical skills include the ability to start and stop equipment complete a changeover and operate one piece of equipment
• Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
• Leadership skills include a positive attitude being a team player and self-leadership
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed to meet business demand
