The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer III is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to ensure compliance with all applicable health safety and environmental regulations across Resonetics operations. This role partners with leadership to shape long-term EHS strategy drive cultural transformation and lead complex initiatives that reduce risk and promote a world-class safety culture. The EHS Engineer III serves as a subject matter expert mentor to junior staff and primary liaison with regulatory agencies external auditors and corporate leadership.

Responsibilities
- Develop lead and implement comprehensive EHS programs policies and management systems that align with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Partner with leadership to set annual EHS goals KPIs and long-term strategic initiatives; monitor and report on progress.
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying evaluating and mitigating EHS risks with emphasis on proactive risk management and leading indicators.
- Oversee and advise on facility design process changes and capital projects to ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Conduct advanced trend analyses audits and investigations; prepare executive-level recommendations to prevent incidents and drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison with OSHA EPA and other regulatory agencies ensuring timely resolution of compliance issues.
- Mentor and coach EHS team members supervisors and managers on best practices and leadership in safety.
- Design and deliver advanced training programs that target both technical expertise and cultural engagement.
- Champion sustainability initiatives by driving projects that reduce environmental footprint improve energy efficiency and promote responsible resource use.
- Facilitate leadership-level EHS reviews steering committees and risk governance forums.
- Manage EHS aspects of crisis response and emergency preparedness ensuring readiness and effective communication in critical situations.
- Support and influence corporate-wide standardization of EHS policies tools and reporting processes.
- Drive employee engagement in EHS programs by fostering accountability recognition and ownership of safety at all levels.
- Ensure integration of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and other industry standards into EHS programs.
- Oversee and support EHS budget planning and management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental Health & Safety Industrial Hygiene Chemical/Mechanical Engineering Environmental Science or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of progressive EHS experience preferably in the medical devices biotech or manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in OSHA EPA ISO 14001 ISO 45001 and related management systems.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational EHS initiatives with measurable results.
- Advanced knowledge of accident prevention root cause analysis ergonomics industrial hygiene and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and mentoring teams.
- Excellent written verbal and presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels including executive leadership.
- Proficiency in EHS data systems advanced Microsoft Excel/Power BI reporting and regulatory recordkeeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in EHS Industrial Hygiene or related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).
- Experience in multi-site/global operations.
- Strong track record of implementing sustainability and environmental stewardship programs.
- Bilingual/Multilingual skills (English advanced written and spoken required).
Physical Demands
- Ability to work long hours when necessary and to have a presence with a 24/7 operation.
- International travel not required
Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $77000 - $85000/year.
