Were looking for a Part-TimeOccupational Therapist to provide direct services to students in our ISBE-approved Therapeutic Day School.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
- On-site position during normal school hours (weekdays)
- 20-25 hours per week part-time
- Salary range $34.00-$37.00/hour(non-exempt).
- Salary based on skills and experience.
- Up to 8% annual bonus potential.

WHAT YOULL DO:
- Conduct OT evaluations and write IEP-based goals.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student growth.
- Provide caregiver training and home programming.
- Support sensory and functional classroom needs.
- Document services and participate in IEP meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING:
Education/Training:
- Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred.
- Current State of Illinois License for Occupational Therapist (IDFPR).
Experience:
- Experience working which children and adults ages 3-22 years.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders and other diagnosis (i.e. Intellectual disability Developmental delay etc.).
Skill Sets:
- Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency including but not limited to crisis management (crisis mangagement training includes de-escalataion strategies and physical management techniques).
- Ability to conduct and interpret assessments via team and individual evaluations.
- Ability to plan and conduct individual and group therapies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to promote and adhere to company values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist clients/students access file cabinets office machinery etc.
- The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist clients/students.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
