The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care (HACCC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our patients and care team. As a CNA youll provide direct patient care and play a vital role in creating a supportive healing environment for individuals and families navigating their cancer journey.Job Description:
Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care Augusta
Schedule: Per diem
Shift: Days (M-F schedule)
What Youll Do:
- Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional physical and spiritual needs.
- Greets patients and visitors. Answers screens and routes telephone calls. Calls codes pages and overhead announcements as requested.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked clean and orderly.
What Were Looking For:
- Active CNA certification in the State of Maine.
- Prior experience in oncology or an acute care setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassion patience and commitment to excellence patient care.
- Basic Life Support Provider preferred.
