Certified Electrical Installer & Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for aEngineer with Electrical Installer certification and an electrical background to strengthen the departments focus within power electrics for our Energy & Power Systems productsboth hardware and software. You will participate in upgrade and modification projects for our customers from idea and sales phase through planning and execution and all the way to documentation.

As Site Installer you will have responsibility for certification of our Field Service Engineers in projects where Kongsberg Maritime has the overall responsibility for the electrical installation.

As Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for upgrading Switchboard System solutions for our sailing fleet.

You will participate in taking ownership of how Kongsberg Maritime supports our customers throughout the complete product lifecycle. The position will involve some travelling approx. 1030 days/year.

Key Accountabilities

• Design solutions for lifecycle management (obsolescence upgrades replacements)
• Cost calculations
• Electrical design
• Interface setup
• Attend supplier and customer meetings equipment testing and factory testing
• Reporting to Kongsberg Maritimes Main Responsible Certified Electrical Installer

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors or technical college degree in electrical engineering systems engineering or other relevant education
• Knowledge of one or more of the following:
• Frequency converters
• Switchboards
• Power management systems
• Energy management systems
• Battery systems
• Generators/motors
• Experience with EPLAN drawing software is preferable
• Experience from service production or operational work within the maritime industry or similar is an advantage
• Electrician Certificate of Apprenticeship within the Energy product range (Gr.L / Ship Electrician / Automation) is an advantage
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
• Certified Electrical Installer
