Job Description
Data Governance Lead London (Hybrid/Flexible) Outside IR35 625 - 650 per day initial 6-month contract.
Outside IR35 contractor required at fast-paced hospitality/retail company for a Data Governance lead to design and implement a robust data governance framework.

Role
Lead the design and delivery of a data governance framework including ownership standards quality processes and stewardship across IT and Operations. Embed governance into daily workflows through training and change management. Collaborate with Operations IT and Data Engineering to monitor and improve data quality. Implement and maintain a data catalogue and ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR).
You will need to bring structure and process to how data is collected managed and shared. Key to this will be to ensure integrity consistency and accessibility across teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a data quality management and governance framework roles
- Worked in retail or hospitality type organisations that deliver at pace.
- Proven success delivering governance initiatives to IT & Operation teams in complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of governance frameworks catalogues lineage and metadata tools.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- (Preferred) Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake dbt) data modelling ETL/ELT and hospitality/retail sectors.
