AM/PM shifts available Flexible Shift AvailableEssential Duties and Responsibilities: High school diploma or equivalent required must have a commercial drivers license (CDL) and a passenger and school bus endorsements. Eight Safety hours required each year. Submit to a criminal background check and pass a medical examination. Must ensure the safety of the children providing first aid in emergencies and keeping the bus in safe working condition. Communicate safety and boarding/disembarking procedures to passengers. Maintain and update student rosters and run sheets. Complete repair forms as other necessary forms and paperwork as required. Follow precise schedules and must adjust their driving according to traffic and weather conditions in order to arrive at each stop at the designated time. Continually communicate with dispatch throughout shift regarding location schedules and passengers. Must avoid accidents and be responsible for maintaining orderliness among passengers. Communicate clear and concise messages using the two-way radio. Follow district protocol in the event of an accident. Secure the bus at the end of the day ensuring that the fuel level is above half a Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
