As a Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse heres a big-picture view of what youll do:
- Provide compassionate care to patients with disabilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living including bathing dressing and transfers.
- Do assessments as needed
- Administer medication and ensure medication management is handled efficiently
- We work closely with healthcare providers to coordinate any necessary medical care.
- Other duties as assigned.
A few must-haves for Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurses:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in GA
- Minimum of 1 full year experience as an LPN.
- Experience with patients with disabilities preferred but not required.
- CPR & First Aid certification (MUST BE FROM AN IN-PERSON CLASS. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT ANY ONLINE CERTIFICATIONS)
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Clinical proficiency in nursing strong communication skills and compassion
