Description

Preble Streets Facilities staff contribute to our agency mission and help to create welcoming safe spaces for clients by keeping program and agency spaces clean orderly and in good repair. Were currently seeking a Housekeeping Staff/Custodial Technicianto work as part of the Facilities team.

The Housekeeping Staff/Custodial Technicianhelps keep our program and office spaces clean and safe by performing daily routine cleaning of bathrooms floors windows and other surfaces; removing trash; restocking cleaning supplies; and performing deeper cleaning as needed. These tasks require extended periods of standing and walking with frequent bending reaching and pushing and pulling of cleaning role also requires working with cleaning chemicals going up and down the stairs and occasionally heavy lifting up to 50 lbs to perform regular housekeeping duties.

The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday 2:00 pm 10:30 pm.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a combination of training and/or work experience likely to provide the skills or ability to perform successfully in the role of Housekeeping.

Preferred: Prior Housekeeping Staff/Custodial Technician experience

In addition candidates must have a basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safe work practices ability to work collaboratively in a team demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance positive regard for individuals experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty familiarity with low-barrier services and the ability to interact respectfully and maintain appropriate boundaries with a diverse population are also essential.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position offering competitive pay at $22.31/hour and generous paid time off insurance and retirement plan benefits including:
