Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide direct patient care and assist the university physician with the evaluation care and treatment of students medical complaints following written medical protocol; follow established medical protocol for student/patient referrals to the university physician physicians assistant nurse practitioner or a private physician; responsible to the director of nursing to carry out assigned office work routines and perform related tasks as assigned.
Required Education
Associates degree required.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Tennessee required.
Required Related Experience
Three years progressively responsible experience as a registered nurse with experience in emergency medicine public health school nurse physicians office industrial medicine or walk-in clinic required.
Required License/Registration/Certification
Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee
Desirable Related Experience
Bachelors degree preferred. Allergy/immunology experience preferred.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
Current BLS certification
