Job Summary
Our client is a New York-based tech-driven prestige beauty brand that is shifting millions of customers to shopping for beauty online.
They are building a disruptive next-generation e-commerce experience for shopping makeup online by creating cutting-edge digital products and combining the worlds of e-commerce and social media.
They have more than 250 employees in NYC Tel-Aviv Ukraine and Serbia. The tech team in Kyiv includes 40 smart & talented Software Engineers & QAs.
Skills Required:
- SQL proficiency: Ability to write debug and optimize queries
- Data visualization: Experience with Looker or similar BI tools (Tableau Power BI etc.)
- A/B testing platforms: Familiarity with Optimizely or general experimentation methodology
- ETL/Data wrangling tools: Experience with Alteryx is a big plus; otherwise comfort with general ETL or Python/pandas workflows
- Data Engineering Basics
- Comfort working with large datasets or joins across multiple tables
- Comfort in cleaning merging and transforming data - possibly in Python or with Alteryx workflows
- Excel/Google Sheets: Proficiency with foundational tools like pivot tables formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP INDEX/MATCH)
- Good spoken and written English communication skills (upper-intermediate of above)
Ideal Skills Could Also Include:
- Programming Python (preferred) or R for data manipulation analysis or light modeling
- Statistical & Modeling Knowledge
- Familiarity with regression (linear/logistic) classification clustering (e.g. k-means) and basic time series analysis
- Bonus: exposure to causal inference methods (e.g. propensity score matching)
- Machine Learning Concepts
- Understanding of when to use various model types
- Comfort with evaluation metrics (e.g. precision recall F1 score RMSE)
- Hands-on experience training simple models (e.g. in scikit-learn)
- Version Control
- Basic Git skills for collaboration and tracking scripts or notebooks
- Cloud/Data Environments
- Bonus for experience with GCP AWS or platforms like Databricks or BigQuery
