Creative Specialist Graphic Design & Photography Job Description

Role & Summary
The Creative Specialist will serve as the in-house expert for all things visual and creative. This role will lead graphic design product and lifestyle photography and creative content development. Beyond design the Creative Specialist will support RuffLands broader marketing efforts through social media content creation website updates email campaigns and other creative projects. This is a hands-on highly collaborative role that brings Ruff Lands brand to life in both digital and physical environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Graphic Design & Brand Development
Create high-quality graphics for ads trade show booths packaging collateral and social media.
Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets.
Develop new design concepts and templates for marketing and sales teams.
2. Photography & Videography
Capture professional-level product and lifestyle photography for use across campaigns e-commerce and media.
Coordinate photoshoots edit images and manage Ruff Lands photo library.
Support with video content creation and editing for web and social channels.
3. Digital Content & Social Media
Create and schedule engaging social media content aligned with brand voice and strategy.
Monitor engagement respond to community interactions and track performance metrics.
Support storytelling efforts through short-form video reels and interactive content.
4. Website & Email Marketing
Assist with website maintenanceupdating visuals product imagery and promotional graphics.
Design and produce email campaigns ensuring visuals align with brand and campaign goals.
Support A/B testing of creative assets to improve performance.
5. Creative Collaboration
Partner with the rest of the marketing team to ensure deadlines are met and assets are delivered to vendors media partners and internal stakeholders on time.
Provide creative input for campaigns sponsorships and promotions.
Act as the go-to resource for creative problem-solving across departments.
Core Qualifications
Bachelors degree in graphic design visual arts marketing or related field (or equivalent experience).
25 years of professional experience in graphic design photography or creative content roles.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Lightroom Premiere/After Effects a plus).
Experience managing social media content creation and engagement.
Working knowledge of website CMS platforms and email marketing tools.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
A creative eye with a passion for storytelling and visual design.
Comfortable capturing content in dynamic environments (trade shows outdoor shoots product testing).
Strong communication skills with the ability to present creative ideas and receive feedback.
Organized proactive and self-motivated with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
