Job Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
- Upkeep the campus grounds; Includes but not limited to (outside of contracted services):
- Mowing/Weed Eating
- Mulching
- Fertilizing/Spraying needed areas
- Trash: Picking up debris/trash throughout campus and changing bags in all outdoor trash cans regularly
- Snow Removal and Salt Spread during Winter months
- Any other outdoor custodial duties as needed
- Upkeep all outdoor athletic facilities; includes but not limited to:
- Mowing/Weed Eating
- Fertilizing/Spraying needed areas
- Artificial Turf Upkeep
- Notify AD of inventory needs in regards to field paint chalk fertilizer spray or any other used supplies
- Striping Painting Chalking fields as needed
- Assist with Facility Game Day Prep
- Winterize restrooms locker rooms concessions and field houses
- Manage and upkeep Baseball and Softball field sprinkler system
- Lock/Unlock Gates and Doors
- All custodial duties in regards to these areas: stadium field house stadium restrooms/concessions stadium press box baseball/softball fieldhouse tennis court area
- Stadium Field House
- Upkeep all indoor athletic facilities; includes but not limited to:
- All custodial duties in regards to these areas
- Main Gym/Aux Gym: Bleachers storage rooms locker rooms stairwells
- Batting Facility
- Team Rooms
- Weight Room
- Wrestling Room
- Lock/Unlock Gates and Doors
- Custodial Duties in regards to above mentioned areas include:
- Sweep mop and vacuum floor surfaces
- Clean restrooms showers sinks and all other in appropriate areas
- Clean windows walls tables countertops blinds fixtures or other furniture in areas
- Empties trash receptacles and places items in proper receptacles
- Sweeps and/or blows outdoor sidewalks or walkways
- Replace light bulbs as needed
- Lock/Unlock Gates and Doors
- Other Duties
- Minor/Miscellaneous Maintenance and Repairs in regards to all above mentioned areas as needed and as abilities allow
- Responsible for cleaning care maintenance and inventory of all equipment and supplies owned by WHS in regards to above mentioned duties and areas
- Facility/Custodial prep for outside groups/teams that use WHS Facilities
- Any other duties assigned by Principal or Immediate Supervisor
Training/Experience
Experience in the areas of custodian and/or groundskeeping preferred. Experience and/or training in related areas that is equivalent or similar to job duties or responsibilities that has provided knowledge skills and abilities to complete needed duties preferred. CDL with P and S endorsements preferred.
Essential Job Functions
Must be physically able to perform all required duties. Must be able to use/operate all required equipment needed to fulfill duties and responsibilities mentioned above. Must be willing to work with others in an appropriate manner receive instruction and must be adaptable to perform under minimal levels of stress. Must be able to exert at least 50 lbs of force occasionally and at least 25 lbs of force frequently. Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs of weight. Must have general knowledge in custodial and groundskeeping in order to perform required tasks properly. Must be able to perform strenuous physical work occasionally and medium physical work frequently. Must be a self starter and possess initiative to complete required work duties and responsibilities.
Approximately 29 hours per week with limited benefits.
