Job Description

About the role He Aha Te Tranga

This role sits within our DTC team and contributes to the success of nib by ensuring the efficient and effective achievement of profitable life and health sales and service targets. This will include:

  • Using both inbound and outbound channels to achieve individual targets and collaborating to meet the overall teams target.

  • Providing exceptional service to our members through building rapport and provided the a fit for purpose product.

  • Meet all compliance objectives including Financial Adviser Act legislative requirements and FAP obligations.

  • Actively participating in workshops and training session and self-managing product knowledge.

  • To self-evaluate performance through the call monitoring process

  • Apply care of sale ethics to each interaction with our members.

This is a fixed-term contract until August 2026

About you Ko Wai Koe

The DTC sales team are seeking a motivated proactive team member who is passionate about helping new members find a suitable cover solution. We are seeking someone who can work autonomously and who is driven to achieve results and positive outcomes.

Your skills will include:

  • Proven ability of working as part of a sales team to achieve common goals.

  • Proven experience in a similar role preferably in health and life sales (both inbound and outbound).

  • Ideally a good understanding of the New Zealand insurance industry although this is not essential.

  • Advanced level computer skills including Microsoft word PowerPoint and Excel

  • Familiar with working to set KPIs and quality assurance standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal techniques (particularly over the telephone and face to face).

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.

  • Sound problem solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Time management and organisational abilities.
