Job Summary

Audit Associate
SF Bay Area Salary Range: $75000 to $85000 DOE; Offered compensation will be adjusted for remote employees based on the cost of living and market rate in their area of residence.

Audit Associates at our firm . . .

Preparation of financial statements with disclosures applying basic areas of GAAP as needed and documenting validating testing and assessing various control systems.
Utilizes knowledge of GAAS principles and applies them to engagements.
Completes all appropriate documentation of work papers.
Researches accounting topics and forms initial opinions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the successful completion of engagements; and
Research accounting topics and form initial opinions.

To make it as part of our team Audit Associate candidates should have . . .
1 years of experience in public accounting which includes experience in external audit and assurance services;
A Bachelors degree in Accounting;
Knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP GAAS etc);
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing; and
MUST be WILLING and ABLE to travel within the greater San Francisco Bay Area for client fieldwork or other business-related needs as necessary.
