Were recruiting for an Electrician to join our Empty Homes team!Contractually based out of our Basingstoke office youll predominantly coverBasingstokeand the surrounding North Hampshire isa full time permanent position with the option to work39 or 42* hours per week alongside participation in the emergency on-call rota. Youll need to live within a suitable distance to attend out of hour emergencies within a reasonable time frame and will be paid at very competitive rates for the on call rota!

Heres the facts about the role:
As an electrician youll carry out electrical repairs and installations to our domestic and commercial properties. Youll make sure you work in line with all current IEE Electrical Regulations whilst maintaining high Health & Safety standards. Youll fault find on circuits and appliances carry out cyclical P.A.T testing and electrical testing. Youll also assist the building contracts team when required on programmed works.

Youll be able to demonstrate good all-round electrical skills including testing fault finding repairs and installation. Experience working in domestic properties and/or for social housing would be an advantage.

*The42 hour contractwill be offered on a trial basis. Whilst the 42 hour contract is a trial youll still be offered a minimum of 39 hours on a permanent basis should the trial not be successful. You can express your interest inthe 39 or 42 hour contract duringthe online application.
A full clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBS check.
