Job Summary

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic

Summary:

Join a dedicated team at a Level II Trauma center located in Tacoma WA. This position involves covering 2 weeks per month at a facility known for its commitment to quality patient care. The healthcare environment boasts modern facilities and offers an opportunity to work alongside a supportive staff making a significant impact in the community.

Responsibilities:

Provide orthopedic surgical care including a full spectrum of cases minus complex pelvic issues.
Cover the emergency room 24/7 with dedicated PA support.
Engage in outpatient clinics for three days each week focusing on patient evaluations and follow-ups.
Manage a varying patient load of 0-7 admissions per day.
Collaborate with hospital support staff and medical assistants in the outpatient clinic.
Participate in ongoing coverage for up to 6-9 months.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
Fellowship trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon preferred.
Five years of Level II trauma experience required.
Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
Ability to obtain a Washington State license or IMLC with LOQ in hand.
BLS and DEA certifications are required (candidates may obtain post-offer).
Availability to start promptly when cleared.

License and Certification Requirements:

WA State License or IMLC with LOQ in hand (highly preferred).
Board Certification is a must.
BLS and DEA certifications are mandatory.
