API Developer – Automation & Integration

Ecolab are on the lookout for a proactive and technically skilledAPI Developerto help drive automation across our UKIE operations. Your mission To simplify and streamline how work orders are closed by our field teamsmaking life easier for both our people and our customers.

This is a hands-on role where youll collaborate with internal teams and customer technical stakeholders to design secure scalable API solutions that align with our business goals. If you enjoy solving problems with clean efficient codeand youre comfortable navigating both technical and business conversationsthis could be the perfect fit.

What Youll Be Doing

• Designing building and maintaining secure APIs to automate operational workflows especially around work order management

• Partnering with internal teams (Field Operations Digital and Functional) and external customer technical teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions

• Ensuring all APIs meet security and compliance standards working closely with IT security

• Troubleshooting and resolving integration issues to keep operations running smoothly

• Creating clear documentation for APIs workflows and integration guides

• Contributing to wider automation and digital transformation initiatives across the business

What Youll Bring

• Strong experience in API development usingC#andMSSQL

• Solid understanding ofRESTful API design integration patterns and best practices

• Proven ability to engage with technical stakeholders and explain complex solutions clearly

• Familiarity withIT security principlesand secure development environments

• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English

• Experience working inAgiledevelopment environments

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience withPHPandJavaScript

• Familiarity withPower BIdevelopment

• Knowledge offield serviceorwork order management systems

• Exposure toautomation platformsorworkflow orchestration tools

• French language skills
