The School of Health and Public Safety at SAIT prepares students for a dynamic career in the health care sector. We offer specialized training in diagnostic and therapeutic technologies professional assistant programs information management and training for wellness professionals. Our programs are hands on with students and instructors immersed in living classrooms and simulated training.
The Opportunity
The School of Health & Public Safety at SAIT requires an energetic and resourceful individual with excellent organizational and teamwork skills to support the Vision Care Science Program. We are seeking an experienced professional from the optician field who is enthusiastic about contributing to student learning by ensuring labs equipment and assessments are well-prepared and aligned with industry standards.
The successful candidate will bring a solid understanding of optical dispensing lens fabrication and the opticianry profession along with practical experience in ordering and maintaining specialized equipment and supplies. They will thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to professionalism safety and continuous improvement.
Note: This is a part-time casual position two days per week (10-15 hours per week) with an end date of March 31 2026.
