Licensed Engineer

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.

The Engineer will support the companys projects in analyzing designing and reviewing drawings and plans. Youll be reporting to the office at Camp Osias Cagayan once a week.

This is hourly based; Not to exceed 40 hours in a month.

• Key responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare detailed design drawings project specifications cost estimates construction schedules and other requirements needed for the proper implementation of the project.
  • Devises new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings specifications calculations charts and graphs and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices
  • Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for design review and project mobilization as necessary
  • Perform tests and calibrates sensors
  • Select appropriate materials and equipment for the project with due consideration for safety efficiency standardization and costs
  • Plan and develop CAD and calculation of geometries for optical component
  • Coordinate the computer-aided simulations in close cooperation with the other development departments
  • Plan and commission development-accompanying tests and ensure the feasibility of the lighting technology concepts in particular of photometric testing and adjustment concepts
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelors degree in any Engineering course or successfully completed technical studies in the field of lighting technology optics or physical engineering
  • Must be a Licensed Engineer
  • Preferably with experience in handling government projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other MS Applications
  • Willing to travel as well as very good command of spoken and written English
