Description

Reporting to the QA/QC Leader the successful co-op student will be responsible for verifying and measuring incoming parts flagged for inspection to ensure company standards are met and specifications are matched against engineering drawings. The co-op student will also work with team members on calibrating shop equipment.

Work Term: Winter 2026 (Jan - April) - 4 Months
Work Arrangement: Day Shift On-Site 5 days per week (Mon - Fri)
Work Arrangement:90 Belfield Rd. Etobicoke ON

Responsibilities

  • Approval of finished products for shipment involving visual verification mechanical inspection and electrical testing
  • Calibration of mechanical and electrical instrument measuring equipment
  • Participate when necessary in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Read and interpret part and assembly drawings
  • Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel on quality inspections
  • Record and maintain inspection and calibration records
  • Collect and summarize quality reports monthly

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • Available and eligible to work a 4 Month Co-op Work Term for the Winter 2026 term
  • A team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen interest in design and manufacturing
  • Some manufacturing experience is an asset
