Finance Intern, Consumer & Business Lending

About the Position:

First IB provides exciting Internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the Consumer/Business Banking field. This internship is a paid opportunity. The objective for the role in Consumer/Business Banking is to provide experience and an overview of support and servicing responsibilities as it pertains to lending or any operational support needs.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with projects & process implementation by working on initiatives assigned to Consumer/Business banking.
• Train on each role within the Consumer/Business banking team to gain a working knowledge of each responsibility.
• Review and investigate manual processes to determine if automation or alternative methods are available.
• Assist with procedure review and updating. As Knowledge First is developed assistance of moving approved procedures to this new database will be key.
• Customer service is first in Consumer/Business banking. Gain a working knowledge of the department to assist with providing quality service to internal/external clients of the bank.
• Verify newly opened consumer and business account applications
• Review Consumer and Business account applications that are in Review and Rejected status on daily basis.
• Lend assistance with title reports which involves research on missing titles and follow ups with customers/dealers.
• Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.

What Were Looking For:

• Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelors degree in a business-related field.

• Excellent organization & data management
• Excel Spreadsheet & Microsoft Word skills
• Superb communications skills
• Desire to work in Operations management or the financial field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail
• Previous experience with loan documentation is a plus but not required

Working Conditions/Demands:

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
