We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team based in Thornton NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team in a large fully equipped workshop with some site work required across the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region and occasional travel to our branches in Parkes (NSW) and Mount Isa (QLD).
Available Roles:
Full-Time Permanent Fitter
- Based in our Thornton Workshop
- Includes some local and interstate site work
- Hourly Rate: $45.05 super
- Immediate start available (subject to passing pre-employment medical)
Casual Fitter Immediate Start
- Workshop-based project role in Thornton
- Project Work Until Christmas
- Hourly Rate: $52.71 super
- Immediate start (subject to passing pre-employment medical)
- Could lead to permanent
Work Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am 2:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am 12:00pm
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years workshop and/or site experience
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with light vehicles excavation equipment hydraulics and OEM gear
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
- Must be locally based in the Newcastle/Hunter Region

- Mechanically minded with a can-do attitude.
- Locally based.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills.
- 2 years workshop and or site experience.
- A can-do attitude with the drive to succeed
- Willing to travel for short-term projects when required
