GTI Energy is seeking an intern who is interested in learning about project-based work across all the disciplines at GTI Energy. This position is perfect for someone who plans to begin their career performing research testing and other technical work as part of a project team and is interested in project management as a potential future career path.

Work Location
The position will be on-site based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with project teams to gather and provide essential information that contributes to project success including scope schedule and budget development and management.
- Organize and summarize project status data to keep team members and stakeholders informed of progress challenges and achievements.
- Assist with training and implementation of project management tools such as MS Project/Planner. Gather feedback from users for continuous improvement projects.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices contributing to a secure and productive work environment.
- Complete a project and present the results to internal PM Team
- Aid Project Manager (PM) with project requirements scope scheduling budget risk management quality assurance and project status and health
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge Skills Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to interact with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Aptitude for learning software-based tools such as MS Project/Planner Excel PowerBI or other relevant applications.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn and draw conclusions based on multiple points of view.
- A strong interest in Project Management/Technology as a career is preferred
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 three years of education in a technical science or engineering Bachelor program.
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $17/hour - $28/hour USD annually. This salary range is GTI Energys good faith estimate and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including but not limited to GTI Energys business or organizational needs and an individuals relevant experience education qualifications certifications skills seniority geographic location and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate monthly rate or annual salary only and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energys total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses paid time off and region-specific benefits.
