We are seeking a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to support the Short and Intermediate Effectors for Layered Defense Project Office (SHIELD). In this role you will directly work with SHIELD T&E Director and Product Managers to ensure integration with the products success through rigorous test methods and technical expertise. You will support multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams to develop solutions that support developmental test and operational goals. A test engineer/analyst in this position is expected to be self-motivated possessing strong written and verbal communications skills and support or lead the following events/items including
- Test plan and objectives development
- Test requirements development
- Test documentation preparation & review
- Test resources planning and coordination
- Test scheduling Data collection & analysis
- Preparation of reports such as Quick-Look and final Test Reports Brief test report results
Required:
- ABET accredited degree
- 20 years of related experience
- 7 years of direct T&E experience with Air and Missile Defense (AMD) systems such as PATRIOT M-SHORAD IFPC- Inc 2.
- Experience supporting / leading missile flight test missions
- Experience working on (applicable to ground and/or flight tests):
- Test plan designs
- Test resource requirements
- Test scenarios
- Performance analysis
- Production qualification testing
- Requirements testing
- Post-mission test analysis and reporting
- Working knowledge of the DoD Army Acquisition process & Test and Evaluation
- Some travel
- Must have an in-scope DoD Secret security clearance
