JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping /Receiving & packing associate will assist in packaging parts labeling shipping loading and unloading trucks and inventory of warehouse.
SCHEDULE
1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (overtime when needed)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assure the correct product code/labels are on the box
- Place boxes on the proper skid with the correct number of cases per layer and per skid
- Tape boxes neatly and securely
- Use appropriate packing materials to ensure product is not damaged during transit
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment. This includes keeping parts off of the floor at all times.
- Receive unload and place incoming material in proper locations
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack to move and load materials and skids
- Loading and unloading tractor trailers
- Move parts between buildings with forklift
- Must understand the legal load limits on trucks
- Assist with information for counts weights and measurements for outgoing shipments.
- Assists in verifying Bill of Lading and outgoing shipments and label correctly.
- Review pick tickets and accurately gather product from shelves to ship and provide information to the logistics coordinator.
- Conduct physical inventory
- Assist with conducting cycle counts as required and reporting and discrepancies to warehouse manager
- Communication and teamwork within and outside the department
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2-3 years working hands-on with picking packaging and shipping inventory in an automated (MRP/ERP) environment.
- Experience with UPS and Fedex shipping
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Move/Lift/Carry up to 45 lbs
- Standing up to 6 hrs per day
