Offering a salary of up to 60000 depending on experience plus 4500 car allowance
We are looking for a Bid Manager to join our team at a time where the business is growing and we are winning contracts.

The Role
As a Bid Manager youll report to a Senior Bid Manager and ultimately to the Head of Bid Management. Youll take the lead on high-quality bid submissions ensuring we deliver compelling customer-focused proposals that win business.
Were looking for an organised and driven Bid Manager to join our Central Business Development Team. Reporting directly to the Senior Bid Manager youll be responsible for coordinating and leading the production of high-quality tailored tender submissions with a particular focus on Planned Works.
Collaborating across operational and technical teams youll ensure our bids showcase our expertise in delivering large-scale refurbishment capital investment and improvement programmeshelping us secure contracts that make a lasting impact on communities and the built environment.
Responsibilities include:
Leading and owning the creation of winning tender submissions
Proactive management and leadership of each tender process
Ensure structure of the document reflects all requirements in a way that facilitates easy scoring
Produce well written proposals from researched and orchestrated responses which convey operational technical and commercial solutions in a clear and concise manner
Design collation production and review of the final submission document including the ownership and writing of all elements / sections
Working as part of the wider bid team to support and produce high quality customer focused documents
Updating and integration of knowledge management within Document Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Managing multiple deadlines whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality in written work
Role Criteria:
Proven experience in writing high quality method statements
Experience of liaising with teams (particularly operators) in order to develop deliverable solutions
Competency in MS Office software
The ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to maintain a flexible attitude to work task and workload to ensure tender deadlines are achieved
Calm under pressure and constant feedback / evaluation
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Ability to work on own initiative
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
