Job Summary
Quality Engineer
St. Paul MN Direct Hire $85k - 100k
Konik is partnering with a local contract manufacturer who isseeking a driven Quality Engineer to support product development and manufacturing this role youll lead part validation qualification and sustaining program support while serving as a key resource for customer quality concerns. Youll work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure processes products and documentation consistently meet the highest standards.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new and modified programs.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including process flow diagrams PFMEAs control plans and inspection instructions.
- Manage validation activities for purchased components and materials.
- Implement early containment and pre-launch quality activities.
- Support CAPAs SCARs RMAs and ongoing quality improvements.
- Provide guidance and training on quality systems and requirements.
- Issue quality alerts and validation protocols as needed.
- Act as primary contact for assigned customer quality issues including on-site support when required.
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of APQP PPAP IQ/OQ/PQ and SPC methods.
- Experience with ISO9001 ISO13485 or FDA-regulated environments preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor or similar) a plus.
- Strong skills in print reading GD&T cGMP/GDP and cosmetic specifications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong written/verbal communication and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with change control documentation and revision management.
