Job Description
Location: Warsaw Poland
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior AWS Migration Consultant to support migration tooling cloud transformation and AWS platform operations in line with their target architecture and migration strategy.
What Youll Do
You will work closely with platform architects and technical teams to deliver secure scalable and efficient migration and cloud solutions. Key responsibilities include:
Lift & Shift migrations: prepare target environments execute migrations manage cutovers and provide hypercare using AWS Application Migration Service and native tools.
Re-architecture migrations: support containerization with Amazon EKS and implement infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Database migrations: perform analysis conversion and migrations using AWS DMS and SCT including agent setup synchronization and cutover.
Data migrations: design and deliver transfer solutions with AWS DataSync Storage Gateway and S3.
AWS platform operations: provide daily support monitoring troubleshooting and incident resolution for AWS services.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): set up automation with Terraform AWS CloudFormation and GitHub.
Governance & security: support IAM SCP and organizational strategies in line with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Documentation & training: create onboarding guides FAQs and procedures; provide training to application teams.
Monitoring & optimization: define KPIs set up CloudWatch monitoring configure alarms and optimize AWS environments.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and migration projects ideally following the 6 Rs framework.
Hands-on experience with:
AWS AFT CloudFormation Terraform
GitHub / GitOps
AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Ansible
IAM / Microsoft Entra ID
Amazon CloudWatch AWS Config
AWS FinOps tools (Cost Explorer CUR Glue)
Experience with Kubernetes Docker and Amazon EKS.
Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools.
Familiarity with NIST cloud security standards and AWS policy management (SCP).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in large international environments.
