Job Summary
Location: Hybrid Onsite 1-2 days/week in Downers Grove IL
Overview:
We are seeking an ERP Sr. Project Manager that will lead the planning and execution of a Global SAP Public Cloud ERP implementation. This PM will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams aligning project goals with business strategy and ensuring successful delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle. This role requires deep SAP ERP project management expertise strong leadership and a proven track record of delivering SAP ERP projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP ERP implementation projects including planning execution and post-go-live support.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans budgets timelines and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope objectives and success criteria.
- Oversee integration of SAP modules with legacy systems and third-party applications.
- Identify and mitigate project risks resolve issues and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage ERP Systems Integrator relationships and deliverables
- Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams including IT Finance Supply Chain HR and Operations.
- Ensure alignment with PMO standards governance and reporting practices.
- Communicate project status risks and milestones to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee data migration planning execution and validation across legacy and SAP systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls audit requirements and regulatory standards during ERP implementation.
- Lead cutover planning and execution ensuring a smooth transition to the new SAP environment.
- Support post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with finance operations and IT leadership to align ERP capabilities with strategic business goals.
- Manage project financials including forecasting cost tracking and variance analysis.
- Conduct executive steering committee meetings and provide strategic insights on project health and risks.
Qualifications:
- 10 yearsof project management experience with7 yearsleadingSAP ERP implementations.
- Bachelors degree in business engineering information technology or a related field is required
- PMP PMI-ACP or SAP certificationstrongly preferred.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar ERP projects in a matrixed or global environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading an SAP Public Cloud implementation from initiation to completion.
- Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Smartsheet Azure DevOps)
- Experience with Agile and traditional waterfall project management methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Prior relevant professional / consulting experience required
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours during critical project phases.
