Job Summary Under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures the Phlebotomist performs routine laboratory activities including patient receiving venipuncture computer data entry and other clinical laboratory functions. The role also requires handling specimen transport duties ensuring accurate collection labeling and timely delivery of samples to the main laboratory.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection according to standard procedures.

Draw blood safely and efficiently with the ability to collect 20 25 tubes in one sitting.

Round through clinics to pick up items and transport them to the main laboratory.

Ensure accurate labeling handling and documentation of specimens.

Perform basic computer data entry for specimen tracking.

Provide excellent patient care while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications -
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience.

Certification & Licensure: Valid unrestricted Michigan drivers license with ability to be insured by HFMG Insurance Carrier.

Skills: 6 months 1 year of on-the-job venipuncture experience required (minimum 5 years preferred).
Preferred Qualifications Schedule & Assignment Details -
Shift: Monday Friday 9:30 AM 6:00 PM (No holidays).

Duration: 13 Weeks.

Interview: In-person 30 minutes (includes onsite role overview).

Dress Code: Hunter Green scrubs. Nails must be short; long hair must be tied back.
