Shift Schedule: Monday Sunday between 4:00 AM 11:00 PM

License / Certifications:

• Current and valid Advanced ARRT certification in MRI
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• IV Certification

Education: Not specifically stated but must hold ARRT credentials

Minimum Qualification/Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years full-time work experience in MRI within the last 3 years (training/internships do not count)
• PACS work experience is required
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Operate super-conductive MRI equipment to perform imaging of the brain spine chest and extremities
• Explain procedures to patients position them and perform scans using appropriate techniques
• Set up radiographic suites assure availability of sterile supplies and contrast materials
• Prepare and administer contrast material under radiologist supervision
• Archive and send images to PACS post-process images case edit reports
• Maintain patient records using VistA and CPRS systems
• Provide services in accordance with VA policy and Joint Commission standards
• Comply with professional and ethical healthcare practices
