Job Description

Job Title: Radiologist

Specialty: Radiology Interpretation (General and Advanced Imaging)

Site: Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center

Location: 100 Lake Traverse Drive Sisseton SD 57262

Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of a 4 years extension

Shift Schedule:

  • Coverage Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Central Time

License / Certifications:

  • Must possess a current valid unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology

Education:

  • Degree in Medicine from an accredited U.S. medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Radiology Residency Program

Minimum Qualification / Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in clinical radiology interpretation (post-residency)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in:
    • General diagnostic radiology
    • CT MRI ultrasound
    • Contrast studies
  • Must be comfortable with remote (teleradiology) reading using PACS/RIS systems
  • Experience working with Native American populations is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret a variety of radiological studies including:
    • X-rays CTs MRIs ultrasounds and other diagnostic imaging
  • Provide final reports within 24 hours of receipt of imaging
  • Ensure all interpretations are:
    • Accurate and complete
    • Compliant with HIPAA IHS policies and medical standards
  • Document all findings and interpretations directly in the IHS electronic health record system (EHR/PACS)
  • Participate in consultation with referring providers as needed
  • Maintain professional communication with facility staff
  • Support quality assurance programs and peer review when requested
