Job Description
Job Role: Quality Engineering (QE) Architect
Location : Bethesda MD (Onsite 5 days)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering (QE) Architect to lead the design strategy and implementation of enterprise-level testing solutions for technology platforms. The QE Architect will define quality standards optimize automation frameworks and collaborate closely with development DevOps and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality software.
QE Architect with hands on Technologist
- Total working experience: 13 20 years.
- Work as Technology go-to-person for the Client team and lead the teams as QE architect for POCs/ complex implementations
- Define and drive enterprise-wide Quality Engineering strategy in collaboration with executive leadership aligning quality goals with business objectives and product roadmaps & milestones.
- Engage with senior technology leaders to influence quality vision secure buy-in and establish governance for continuous quality improvement across programs.
- Translate business priorities into a scalable QE architecture covering automation frameworks test environments CI/CD integration quality metrics and identify the risks to plan for possible mitigations.
- Advocate for modern quality practices and tooling by presenting ROI-driven proposals benchmarking industry trends and guiding organizational change for better product quality outcomes.
- AI Enthusiast - Strong coding skills in Python/ Type Script/ Java with proven experience in automation or tools development.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) vector databases
- Exposure to Agentic AI concepts or orchestration tools like LangGraph AutoGen CrewAI etc.
- Exposure with MCP or context-based automation frameworks
- Experience in open source and commercial tools in Quality engineering
- Experience with AI led (e.g Tricentis Katalon etc) and tools like Playwright Cypress Selenium Appium & API testing frameworks and Keyword Driven Data Driven Hybrid & BDD framework methodologies
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines working in DevOps / Agile environment and QE best practices.
- Supports hiring needs - conducting interviews for the QE associates as per the Clients requirement
- Leads mentors and trains small-sized teams as well as defines career path for upskilling of QE teams
- Solution Proposals for Client - Experience of designing end to end testing proposals estimations and Pre-sales (RFI/ RFP/ pro-active proposals) covering Quality engineering / testing services in the areas of Automation Testing Performance Security Testing and AI led Quality engineering.
- Transformation Experience - Practical exposure to large scale transformation engagements around integrating platform solutions in Quality engineering
- Experience of consulting in Quality engineering for Automation (Gen)AI led QE and QE process improvement.
- Familiarity with legacy and new generation technologies and architectures along with practical knowledge of target technologies and architectures
- Experience of implementing large scale TCOE and/or working for enterprise client for Global QE Practice.
