Systems Analyst 3

Roles/Responsibilities:

The Java EE Developer are expected to contribute to the design development and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using Java EE technologies while aligning with HHSCs goals of modularity security and interoperability.

• Analyze legacy Java EE components including EJB JPA and SOAP services to support architectural decision-making.
• Participate in application rationalization and transformation planning.
• Support technical walkthroughs and documentation activities to map current application behavior dependencies and integration points.
• Collaborate with architects and business analysts to help ensure modernization efforts retain core business logic and interoperability.
• Assist in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native platforms emphasizing microservices and API-driven architectures.
• Utilize AI code analysis tools for examining legacy Java EE applications.
• Extract and document detailed business requirements and rules based on existing code.
• Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate and adjust identified requirements.
• Identify and record technical debt design patterns and architectural details within legacy systems.

Mandatory Skills:

1. 12 years of experience: Deep hands-on experience in Java and Java EE development including EJB JPA and SOAP-based services. Able to analyze legacy codebases and identify transformation paths for cloud migration.
2. 12 years of experience: Proficiency in Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8 including deployment on enterprise-grade application servers.
3. 12 years of experience with object-relational mapping and integrating persistence layers with business logic.
4. 10 years of experience: Ability to work with cross-functional teams including architects business analysts and security engineers to align development with business goals.
5. 8 years of experience: Proven experience with or strong understanding of AI code analysis tools for static analysis code understanding and pattern recognition.
6. 8 years of experience: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices including automated testing deployment and monitoring.
7. 8 years of experience: Exposure to cloud-native transformation strategies including containerization elastic scaling and loosely coupled interfaces.
8. 8 years of experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies sprint planning and backlog refinement in collaboration with product owners and SMEs.
9. 8 years of experience: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
10. 8 years of experience: Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.

Desirable Skills:

1. 6 years of experience: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
2. 6 years of experience: Experience with requirement elicitation and documentation.
